Title: Experienced Front-End Web Developer (FED)

Description:

The ideal candidate should understand the separation of content from design, scoff at the mention of using tables and know when and when NOT to use Dreamweaver. Should write validating, standards-compliant, and semantically-rich code and be aware of cross-browser compatibility and bugs. Translations from the designs to final code should be a match, pixel-for-pixel.

Responsibilities:

  • Writing valid, standards compliant XHTML/CSS to a strict doctype.
  • Taking designs as a PSD document and hand coding them into a standards based XHTML/CSS mockups.
  • Work closely with designers to develop working mockups of high end UI components.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • XHTML/CSS
  • Aware of W3C Standards and Specifications
  • Ability to create valid, table-less layouts, using only CSS for presentation
  • Knowledge of cross-browser and platform compatibility issues and workarounds
  • Strong knowledge on Semantic XHTML structure and accessibility, SEO markup optimization
  • General knowledge of Photoshop
  • Familiarity w/ Flash and Flash integration

Advantages:

  • JavaScript/ DOM scripting/ DHTML/ AJAX
  • experience with javascript frameworks as JQuery/Prototype.js/script.aculo.us
  • basic ASP.Net development skils

The Conservative Yeshiva in Jerusalem, in the center of the city, is seeking an energetic individual with experience in office administration, marketing and communications for a position with diverse responsibilities, working in a small office with the Director and Associate Director.
Work hours are through 5 pm with additional and irregular hours during summer and other busy seasons.
The candidate should have a BA or BSc and be a people – person with a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities include: Communications with students, faculty and visitors
Communications by e-mail, phone and other electronic media with prospective students, alumni and community Assisting students pre-arrival and on arrival with logistics and adjusting to life in Israel
Office management, administration and event coordination
Bookkeeping, filing, petty cash
Maintaining online data system
Qualifications required: Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Mother tongue English, good Hebrew
Enjoys working with people from all backgrounds – counseling experience a plus.
Highly organized and efficient
Positive, resourceful, proactive, creative Must be able to work as part of a team and independently
Must be capable of working under pressure and be able to multitask
Computer experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office
Experience in html and graphics programs a plus.
High comfort level with technology and ability to learn new programs

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS:
